Hi All! My name is Maryanne and I am 29 years old. I had back pain for 6 months post a fall down a ladderbay (approx 2 metres)

MRI and CT shows isthmic spondylolisthesis at L5/S1 with a Grade II isthmic spondylolisthesis. Bilateral pars defects. Instability and and disc degeneration at L4/L5. The severity of the spondylolisthesis is prominent and unstable and requires fusion.
The L5 nerve roots are compromised.

I am booked in for two weeks for a stabilisation and reduction . They are doing a L4 to S1 decompression stabilisation aiming for a Grade I reduction of the L5/S1 spondylolisthesis.

I am a bit nervous as to how I will cope post op and would appreciate any advise!!!!!

Thanks!!! :)
