Hello! I'm new here, just wanted to make a quick introduction and ask a quick question. Im 23, I fragmented my L5-S1 disc when I was 18, causing severe sciatica in my left leg, tried physical therapy for 3 months with no improvement, the doctor began to become worried that I would have permanent muscle damage, so I had a microdiscectomy, which "cured" me, no pain or discomfort for 5 years. About 2 months ago, while stretching for a work out, I felt something go wrong back there, slowly but surely over the past 2 months the sciatica has become worse and worse and I just went to get a new MRI today. I took a look at the films, and it looks like a good old fashioned herniation of the same disc. They also gave me a CD with the images on it. My question is about the CD. I wasn't sure where a good place to post this would be, as I'm not sure how much tech experience is floating around here, but I'm sure this is a common issue. I can't access the pictures on the disc, and as I don't have a light board in my house, would really like to so I can get a better look at my spine. I tried to google the answer out of the internet, but I haven't had any luck. With the disc in my computer, when I'm looking at the drive in my computer, it tells me that 561MB free of 702mb, which means there is 141MB of data on the disc, but when I open the folder, it is completely empty. I un-hid all of my files through the control panel, and installed "7-zip" to attempt a further excavation, and I've had no success. For all intensive purposes the files on this disc are invisible, and I cannot figure out how to make them appear. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you!
