  • welcome to spine health. Glad to hear that your back pain is doing pretty well, but sorry to hear that your pain is not
under control from your recent burst apendix.
It can be difficult for chronic pain patients to deal with acute pain, and to receive pain medication that will help. There are larger strengths of dilaudid if needed, or other meds. Please talk to your doctor if you are still in pain.

When I had my adr surgery a few months ago, I was also concerned about my post surgical pain. My surgeon was concerned due to the amount of pain meds that I was already on. He had a pain management team work with me to add and adjust my meds post surgery( started off as a nightmare, but luckily I was able to actively have alot of imput into how I was feeling and what my doctor's plan was for after surgery, med wise)

Hope that you start to feel better from your surgery and that your back pain is stabilized.
