Hello, I don’t know how much more of this I can take. I remain in debilitating pain and the medications are not working. I am on 30 mg of Methadone, 10 X 3 daily, flexaril PRN (As needed), and 40mg of Percocet, 10/325, 10 X 4 daily. I am starting to lose all hope I will ever be pain free.
Over the past two years my skiing injury from my teen years became so debilitating I missed work, was hospitalized, and had a lumbar fusion. My pain was say 100% overall, which a gamut of symptoms: Burning, stabbing, radiating, sore, leg pain, swelling, etc….., and I think the surgery helped. The surgery stripped 75% on the symptoms; however, 25 % of these symptoms are still very bad. The pain is centered in my T12/L1, and possibly the L2 area of my mid to upper spine.
I had an injection 3 weeks ago, which helped for a week or so, but when I say help, I mean the crippling symptoms were less, but never gone. Now I can’t really move around much, and can never get comfortable. I am having another injection tomorrow, and am starting a new pain clinic. The old pain clinic all of a sudden stopped taking my insurance, and I will be forced to pay out of pocket, or move to another one.
I have been on pain killers for about a year, and have moved around with them. At first this combo was working, but I feel like they need to be increased, or something.
I’m wondering if anyone has any advice, or suggestions? Thanks BPF.
