Tens unit for muscle spasms

I have only 2 cervical discs that are not fused. I just had my latest ACF in January 2012. I still have a moderate amount of spascms and stiffness. I am a dental hygienist so it is a lousy profession to be in with degenerative disc disease! I urge anyone with neck or back pain to purchase a Tens unit. It has saved me from so much pain. I wear it all day long at work amd sometimes at home. You can purchase one for under 40.00. It is by far the best money I have spent on my health. It is remarkable how it controls the pain in my neck muscles.I take very little pain meds now.I have been fighting neck pain for 20 years. I now have a plate with the last fusion. I want those who suffer from chronic neck pain to check a tens unit with their PT or doctor. They are harmless for the most part....do check with your surgeon etc. Regards, amy

  • I find my tens unit helps as well! I got mine from my doctor, insurance paid for it because i met my out of pocket max/deductible. I love it!! It doesnt make the pain go away completely but it is a blessing.
