I am hoping to hear back from all who had to have a revised surgery to correct the hardware from the 1st surgery.
It's difficult when we don't know what to expect. My revised surgery was on July 5, 2012. All seems to be going great.
I think I over do housework because the pain medication allows me to work without pain.
This time, I didnt have to wear a brace and it feels weird. The pain is totally different. First it was the surgery healing and now it seems to be the muscle on both sides of the incision and sitting for longer periods.
My doctor said to expect to be out from work for about six weeks. I go in tomorrow for my second post op and my employer needs to know when I am coming back to work. My first surgery was a 360 fusion both thru front and back and that was totally painful. I was out Nov 30 2010 and I started back to work in March full time since my nuero said I had no restrictions, did not need medication or therapy. Needless to say I did not fuse and was on pain medication or I couldnt work..
In January my pain level escalated and something just wasnt right. I had my first xray in May of 2012 since my surgery and I head not fused and the hardware was loose. Followed by the mylegram ct confirmed what the doctor said and here we are.
I am walking 30-45 a day and some days I do water therapy with my doctor approval. I scared of going back to work after six weeks and injure myself since I sit all day and have to work with heavy file folders. The stress level is so high at work and expectations are high. We started a new software so this will be all new to me accept for a two day training session.
How are you all doing? When did therapy start? When did others return to work.
