I have a question that maybe someone can answer that has experienced or knows about it. I have severe spondylolisthesis at L2/3 and L3/4, right above my L4/5 fusion that I had in 2010.
The problem started with just radiating mechanical lower back pain that kept growing to where sometimes the pain went all the way up into my chest and it was hard to breath. So I went back to my surgeon and got an MRI showing the spondy, along with facet issues and bone spurs.
Now, the nerve pain has started. It's radiating down either leg it decides to at its own discretion and can be just the front of the thigh, into the buttock, and/or all down my leg. It's gone all the way down to my feet recently. It's not constant, but I'm sure it will be by the time my surgery rolls around on Dec. 18 or sooner. However, I'm also experiencing pain on the outside of my left ankle, like I strained it, but I haven't. I'm wondering if this could be related to my back problems, anyone know or have an idea?
I ask because before my 3-lvl ACDF, I had some serious left elbow pain that felt like tennis elbow and that's what I thought it was. But after surgery it was gone, thus it was related to my cervical issues.
Anyone experience this or do you believe it's a separate issue?
Any replies are welcome and appreciated.
