Lidocaine Infusion for pain?

Jerome001Jerome001 Cocoa Beach, FloridaPosts: 118
A few weeks ago, I went through Kettamine infusion procedure 4 hours per day for 3 days in a row. The Kettamine is supposed to reset your opiod tolerance to a significant degree, including in some cases, to the initial dose that alleviated your pain. It does not work well on everyone and, unfortunately, I did not get any relief or resetting from the procedure. Today I had my follow up with the anesthesiologist that did the infusions to discuss the results and next steps. While she was disappointed that the Kettamine did not have the hoped for result, she had other options and we agreed that I would have a "Lidocaine infusion" as it may provide some overall improvement in my pain anywhere in my body. My infusion appointment is in early October but, in the meantime, I thought I would ask if anyone has experienced a lidocaine infusion for pain management and, if you have, could you please share your experiences.

I look forward to your feedback!

  • Hi Jeff;
    Did you ever receive the lidocaine infusion therapy? My husband and I have just learned of this new option and
    are hopeful it will help him. We have to find someone that will give this treatment. He suffers from debilitating chronic
    central pain syndrome from a previous herniated cervical disc that caused spinal cord injury.
