MRI of spinal cord injury, anyone have any ideas?

So today I saw a spine surgeon, he looked over my MRI and told my I had a spinal cord injury around t-11. He was unsure of what the injury was exactly and said that I needed a second opinion from a neurosurgeon. I have taken a screenshot of the spot where he saw the injury. I am wondering if anyone out there has any ideas on what i could be?
I tried to put a pic in this post but it wouldn't let me. Here is a link to the pic of my MRI. The injury the doc showed me is in the center of the spinal cord, the lighter white colored area should be a grey color like the outside portion. Is very concerning to me because the doctor told me it is possible that it could lead to paralysis because the reflexes in my legs are not as responsive as they should be. Also that the way i walk is not normal. =/

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
