Has anyone else had lumbar fusion with DLIF?

I would really like to communicate with anyone who has had this newer procedure, where surgery of lumbar is done through your R side. I am having this next month and would like some insight on post-op. I am very nervous and it would be so helpful to speak with others who have been through it.

  • Hi Trish

I just had fusion of my L5-S1 2 months ago and they went in through my back. I've never heard of a side entry , but have heard of the front entry as well.
Don't worry , everyone's issues are a little different and maybe this procedure is the best so far and the best for you!... Good luck!

Different degrees of back pain since 1994

  • Thanks! Hope you are doing well and progressing and pain is at a minimum!
