Hi all, I was researching and found this site! A lot of good advice and stories. With my situation, I am a bit confused. About 8 years ago, I was diagnosed with Cervical Degenerative Disk Disease and have had mild symtpoms with it but in the last 3 or so years, comes burning pain between my shoulder blades(thoracic area) , sometimes it causes chest pain also. On the right side, I get tingling on my arm and aching in my right leg. I don't know if it is related to my CDDD or something different! I plan on making an appt to get MRI done...but until then any advice would be great!

  • I would get the MRI. I have DDD, too. So far it has only affected my lower back...I've had a fusion of L4-S1 with titanium rods placed to stabilize my spine.
What kind of doctor are you seeing? The reason I ask is, it took me 8 years to find someone who would listen to my problem. One appointment with him & my surgery was scheduled. I worked for a pain specialist prior to becoming disabled due to my back & chronic illness...perhaps if you don't receive any answers, that'd be who I'd recommend.
