well i have been living with the sciatica now for a few months i did do physio that helped for a short time on aug 30 i hurt my back at work and now its back but worse than ever i am in bed quite often i take tylenol number 1 s which actually are doing a number on my stomache i ended up at the hospital sept 7 and they just sent me home with tylenol 3s and told me to take advil well my life is at a hault i cant do anything i roll around in a computer chair to get around i live in an apartment on the 3rd floor and no elevator so i am literally locked in my own home it has made me very depressed i cant sleep at night and have to rely on my family members to feed me i can get in and out of the tub by myself and use the washroom thank god for that .It is taking an emotional toll on me i am very healthy overall i am usually very active so now i am so depressed i feel like crying all the time i dont no what to do anymore ths pain is awful tylenol only helps for a very short time so taking more than i should i have tryed everything i no at the moment with no help to be had ,i am 45 yrs old and feel like my life is pretty well over i no there has got to be something that can relieve my pain but what ?

    I do not see anything in your post about going to see your doctor. Thats usually step 1 along with PT or chiropractic. most often us sciatica people end up at a pain management doctor for step 2 or 3. If you are in so much pain you can barely move around and havent seen pain mngmt dr yet that should prob be your next call.

    Sciatica is nasty, I lived with mine for over 2 years before finally having surgery. Now I am on the slow road to getting back on track.
