I had a successful microdiscectomy three weeks ago- all my leg pain is gone, thank goodness. However, when I woke up from surgery (I had a spinal), I had a headache. I pretty much only had one day of back pain from the surgery but the headaches didn't let up for two weeks!
I talked to the anesthesiologist who said my symptoms didn't correlate with a spinal headache and that in his entire career, he's only seen one spinal headache.
I saw the surgeon and asked if HE knew what they were from and he had no idea, either.
Honestly, the headaches were waaay worse than the surgery, though they weren't quite as bad as what's been described online as spinal headaches. But it was bad enough for me to be laying down resting or sleeping during that time.
Now, 3 weeks post-op, they are better but...I'm still not myself in that I'm sooo tired much of the time.
Anyone else have this experience?
