4th spine surgery

I have had 2 surgerys in my lumbar area and just had my 2nd in my cervical area. This last one was done on Monday Nov. 12. I don't feel none of the pain I felt before surgery. I have to wear a hard collar fir at least 4 weeks becquse they could not put in plate with bolts and screws neck to small. Very uncomfortable to sleep only sleeping about an hour at a time.

Hi :) I am happy to hear that your pain has been helped. Sorry that the brace is not allowing you to get much good sleep. Maybe try to look around the boards here for ideas to help with that. I do know that many members here have gone through the same type of surgery/recovery.
Please let me know how you are doing when you can :)
L1 - S2 "gone" useless in 1 way or another. DDD. RA. Bone Spurs. Tons of nerve damage/issues. Stenosis. Both knees replaced. 50 yrs old. I had a great fall (hence my user name) at age 41 and it has been a domino effect every since.
  • I just want to welcome you to spine health. You will find the website very useful. I have had five lumbar surgeries, so I can't give any tips about your collar issues. I am sure there are many people on the forum that could offer you some advice. I hope your recovery goes well. Keep us posted.
