anyone else have issues with steroids?

when i first sought treatment for sore neck, family practice doc ordered oral steroids- they literally made me wacky. still felt some of this with the steroid injections. after ACDF yesterday, I have had 4 doses of Decadron. while I know the steroids are needed to stop the swelling, it feels like the side effects are hindering the percocet- i have insomnia big time, even though I'm tired, I'm wired- worried when it's finally out of my system I am going to crash, bad! Mom asked if I had makeup on, because I am all flushed. Soo glad it was just 4 doses, really makes me sympathize with those being treated for chronic diseases where steroids are necessary long term. just curious if anyone here was sensitive to the steroids as well

I'm super sensitive to steroids. I feel like I'm going insane when I'm on them. Unless I have to take them, I really prefer not to.

My PM ordered me to take some and I told him I'd much rather try something else. It was awful.

They helped me, but I felt/feel that the negative effects do NOT outweigh the benefits of steroids, for me anyway.
