I was told the same thing about my flexicore artificial disc replacement in 2004 clinical trial, My life never been the same from date of my surgery, Nerve damage and multiple surgery that followed of fusion and hardware removal with lami and resulted in failed back surgery,

Anything thats so new dont always mean its beter, I would never again be the 1 st to have any procedure done untill its been done for years and fda aproved it for many years, It could be fda aproved in a few months and then later be pulled because some unknown complications,
Flexicore ADR 2004 resulting nerve damage l4l5 Fusion 2006 same level, 2009 hardware removal with lami !

Alex, i had some minor stenosis pre-op at L4-L5 that was not addressed w/my ADR surgery. I dont know anything about coflex besides finding a picture of it online and if anything its not as serious as tdr.
  • I remember reading about the Coflex being used in the UK before my lumbar fusion in March 2010.
There was an article in the newspaper about it and the lady that had it fitted was doing very well.
Of course I don't know how she is doing now.
It wasn't suitable for me because I had a grade 2 spondylolisthesis and needed a fusion.
  • Billt. Which ADR did you get and what year was it done?
