I had the permanent SCS implanted about 8 weeks ago. Since then, every time I move my head to the left I feel pain in my neck. I've also had some bouts of intense pain in my hand and arm (the areas where the stimulation is set) after adjusting the settings to a higher level. I've been told by my doctor that an x-ray will be ordered and that I should shut of the stimulator for two weeks to see what kind of difference I notice. If the stimulator is creating more pain then they said it may need to be removed. Is this something anyone else has experienced? My doctor appears frustrated with me because of my concerns/complaints and has said that no one else usually has this problem--I'm just extra sensitive to the effects of the SCS. I feel like I'm not getting a good reaction from my PM people and that there is something wrong with me for bringing up these issues when they say I should be doing well by now. Is my situation with the SCS NOT normal??? I'm so frustrated but hate to complain!
