Fatigue post spinal fusion

Hi to you all

I am nine months post spinal fusion L4/L5 and my back is GREAT but I am suffering from terrible fatigue. Does anyone know why it is taking me so long to get back to my old self. I hate not being as active as I used to be. Am I fatigued because my body needs all my energy to heal?

  • I would call your primary and have a blood work up done. don't always assume that your back has something to do with the way you feel. It could be a thyroid issue, a low vitamin B level and so on. Also do you take regular vitamins. It would hurt to add a daily dose of vitamin B into your regime if you do. But make a appointment with your primary and get it checked out.
