c-2/c-6 fusion

Hello:) I have tried to find some evidence that this surgery has been done before, but can't. Have any of you had this done or heard of someone who has?

  • First let me say welcome to spine-health. As to your questions, of the fusion surgery read around the forums and you will find others including myself whom are multi-level fusions. I happen to have that fusion just one level below. If you are uncomfortable with the fusion, sounds like you need to get more opinions. I would never do a surgery till all conservative methods of therapy have been tried and then if you decide on surgery, get multiple opinions. Keep in mind that multi-level fusions have a higher failure rate, so be sure to find out what they are fusing with and what they will do to guard against a failed fusion.

Just thought I would stop by and welcome you to spine-health. If there is anything I can don't hesitate to pm me. Take care and keep us posted.
  • My surgury was unsuccessful. I was so desperate for some relief I could not see straight LITERALLY. Still have these issues. Research and second opions. Once you get surgery you cant go back. The doc dont tell you that.
