spine injection

I had a second spinal injection, the pain around my ankle was so bad it woke me from my sleep med during injection. The pain was like somebody wrapping a barbed wire around my ankle and squeezing it. The worst pain I've ever experienced. I couldnt walk up to 12 after, my knees bowed all different directions, still numb at ankle area. This is my second injection, my first one I walked out 20 minutes after injaection and no pain during injection. I am wondering if it hit a nerve wrong? I am having night sweats.

  • Some folks say the steroids causes sweating for a while.

Did they use a fluoroscope to guide the needle to the right spot or just whack the needle in?

It is common to have nerve pain due to the injected fluid pressurising the volume around the nerve and thus effectively squeezing it. But sometimes they pierce the nerve and damage it, oops. This manifests with numbness or loss of muscle control.

Hope it's all good by now?
