Treatment for Edema

Three months ago, I found some swelling appearing on my hands, feet and legs. Earlier, I thought that it might be due to some extra work I have done, but then after the swelling got on increasing.
I gone to a dermatologist and after checking and doing diagnosis he told that am suffering from Edema.
I am very much depressed and afraid of the disease. Please do suggest me the best way to Cure Edema.

Have you had a surgery? My legs became extremely swollen after my first fusion surgery. I had to have an ultrasound to rule out blood clots. My suggestion would contact you surgeon if you had recent surgery.
Discectomies 05/08 and 04/11, fusions L4-5 Feb 9,2012 and L3-L4 June 28,2012, Staph infection washout 3/2/2012, Bulged L5-S1. SCS trial on January 17th, 2014, which was a success! Permanent SCS on February 20th.
  • No I havn't gone through any kind of surgery.
I am looking for some kind of alternative medicines to treat Edema.
