common Low dose time realease meds?

Ive been having horible side effex with every time realease narcotic they give me, tried mscontin , which worked great but reaks havoc on my stomach and appitite.. Diladid was ok just kinda stronger then I want. then methadone was horrible I think im allergic to it.

I take oxycodone 30 IR for breakthrough pain every 4-5 hours , its the only med i dont get bad side effex from but my insurance wont cover oxycontin the time realeased oxy,

Ive been wishing that new time realeased hydrocodone would come out soon but who knows, are there any other ER meds that arent really strong? is it possible to appeal my insurance to cover oxycontin because ive tried all the alternatives and had bad side effects.

  • Hi bluemoonshine, I am sorry you are having so many issues with pain meds. I also have problems with many narcotics. I am now taking Nucynta and I know they have an ER in the 100mg. I work in doctors office and we would do appeals all the time. In fact, they had to do one for my Nucynta and because I was either allergic or vomited severly with others they finally approved it. i would do appeals all the time and more info they can give on why you can't take other meds and all meds you have tried makes it much easier to get approved. Hope this helps and good luck.
