Cracking Neck & Shoulder, numbness

I'm 17, and I've been dealing with unexplained neck pain for a number of years. This summer, it got increasingly worse, and I got my parents to take me to the chiropractor again. X-rays from a few years ago show that my neck does not have its normal curve, and it is now almost straight.

I have been going to the chiropractor for the past 4 months, and not much has improved. It's been 3 weeks since my last appointment, and now I have a weird popping left shoulder that makes clicking sounds every time it is touched or moved. My fingers (particularly my pinky) on my left hand are numb-ish, and I have radiating pain down my arm. The leg on my left side also hurts. My neck, again mostly on the left side, cracks every time I move it for 3 years now. It gives me migraine headaches about 3 times a day, too, and I am constantly nauseous. I can barely get through the school day, and ibuprofen doesn't help anymore. I'm in tears almost every day, and I'm at a loss. The chiropractor did some tests and he thought I had herniated disks in my neck, but he told me that they couldn't really do anything except adjustments at my age. My parents think that most of this is due to stress and not being active enough. What should I do?

  • Go to a spine specialist (MD) or surgeon and get complete proper imaging, testing and evaluation. I would not go back to chiro until cleared by an MD or OD doctor.
Severe DDD, Severe neural foraminal stenosis at 2 levels, moderate canal stenosis at 2 levels, significantly impaired left shoulder & arm function. Chronic moderate compression fracture at C6.

I'm not able to see someone right now. I'm a bit worried that it's a tumor, because I also have had a loss in appetite and chills, which are also symptoms. Also, a close relative of mine had a spinal tumor. The pain seems to reduce a bit with less stress, but not much.
