I think ive made a big mistake

hello everyone im new here, i was injured at my job a garage door fell on me (at the warehouse i was working at) back in july 2010 i have been with this company for 15 years my work comp was denied anyway i have been in severe pain i finaaly found a doctor that would try to fix me (as i have had other neck surgerys but thats a nother story) anyway this doctor performed in oct.2012 C3-T2 spinal fusion i am still in alot of pain just woundering if anyone else has gone threw this as i had such high hopes this surgery would fix me my employer fired me in dec cause i ran out of family medical leave. i dont know if i made a mistake by having this surgery im still in alot of pain i lost my job(after 15 years) my doctor has disabled temp im scared that i will never be out of pain im in need of a friend that has gone threw this type of surgery thank you any advice


  • I'm sorry that your still in pain. Although I can't comment on your type of surgery, mine was lumbar,I'm sure someone will come along shortly that can. I do know what its like to loose your job due to this type of injury though. I hope things get better for you soon.

  • How could work comp deny your claim if garage door fell on your head at work ? If this hapened at work they have to accept it ,
    You had a big surgery and recovery can be very long, Hang in there and hope all works out for ya in time,

    was quite involved. We normally hear about a 2 or 3 disc fusion.
    Spinal surgeries take time to heal. In your situation, I am sure a much longer time.
    Just continue to do what your doctors have told you to do and make sure you do not ignore those restrictions and limitations.

  • immediately after surgery was ..WAS HAVE I LET THEM DO TO ME ???!! i think that elective surgeries especially very invasive ones often make one question ones ability to make diseisons.//why would i let someone cut me up and hurt me ?? its a normal feeling .{its the typical ..what if //but// maybe synario/ it will pass like most things !

    2012 ? bowel problems .still under investigation
    2014 bladder operation may 19th 2014
