Hi my name is Mark and I am a newbie .
A short introduction.
I have read some great advise on this site but never gotten around to joining until now.
I have cervical Spondylosis and arthritis in my spine , I was first diagnosed with a prolapsed disk at C6/7 in 2000 and had an ACDF to try and fix this in 2001, which worked fine for about 5 years when another disc prolapsed at C5/6. Another ACDF followed in 2008.After about another 2 years I started to get pain in my left arm again which spread to my left torso causing cramp and muscle spasms. after MRI tests it was found out that the nerve root at C6/7. I then had a foraminotomy at King Collage Hospital London in August 2012.
Six months down the line I am sad to say that I don't think the last operation worked as I am still in pain and still have tingling in my left arm. Only time will tell , in the mean time I can only keep tacking the pain medication,I have another appointment with the consultants at Kings later this month so I hope to keep everyone up dated .
