Advice please

I'm 4 months removed from a 3 level ALIF. The surgery was successful, and Im very thankful for that! However there are a couple items I would really appreciate advice on.
First, the pain remaining in my lower back, numbness on the top of both feet and both big toes, both ankles, and the outside of both legs (ankle to knee) is a challenge for me everyday. It just really brings me down when I wake everyday to the pain. Any suggestions for coping and how to make the most of my situation.
Second, in 2009 I had C5-C7 fused, and I feel like Im going to need some more fused below those levels. The thought of that is very overwhelming. I am usually strong, but one spine problem after another is really bringing me down.
Suggestions please!!!
2007 and 2010 L4-S1 Microdiscectomies; helped for a total of 3 years between the 2 of them.
08/2011....pain returned.
10/03/2012....back reconstruction L3-S1...large titanium "seperators" were put at each level with synthetic bone graft material.
