I was advised of the above fusion to correct scoliosis, spondylitis, and spinal stenosis. I am 62 and have been limiting my life style activities, primarily walking and golf and playing with grandchildren. The past year I have received 3 separate epidurals which help for approximately 6 weeks so I visited a spine surgeon, Dr.xxx, at The Spine Care center in Daly City. I am having difficulty locating someone who had a similar surgery. Oh! I also have a level 1 of EDS (Ehlers-Dahlers Syndrome) which means my joints are pretty flexible. Currently I can put my palms on the floor so the doctor says I may have greater flexibility after surgery than most.
Has anyone had a similar surgery with a positive outcome? What can I expect. Evidently Dr. xxx is a leader in using minimally invasive surgery using the "Nuvasive" technology.
