any idea what I should do next? Doc has ordered physical therapy and a visit to the pain clinic for shots to the affected areas

MRI showed multilevel disk dessication Facet disease edema at L4-5 level posteriorly L3-4 mild disk bulge and facet disease
L4-5 broad based disk bulge and central annular tear with reactive endplate changes flattening of the thecal sac facet disease of a moderate degree..and moderate neural canal stenosis on each side L5S1 level broad based disk bulge marked facet disease moderate to severe neural stenosis on the left and moderate stenosis on right


  • In my opinion,I think your doctor has come up with a good plan, the usual plan for treating the back. Conservative measures first. Give them time to work and if they don't, then ask what's next.

  • That is the same plan that I was given when I was diagnosed with the slipped/herniated L5/S1, degenerative disc disease, sciatic nerve encroachment, pain down left leg, numbness and tingling as well, spinal stenosis and a fracture. Yes, give them a go- let us know how it works out! :(
