Hi. I had a lateral disk herniation at L3/4 in February after injuring myself at work. I woke one morning in excrutiating pain and after terrible pain med side effects (causing unbearable migranes etc.), my husband took me to the ER where my blood pressure was through the roof. I was admitted, given morphine and toradol and had surgery the day after for a lateral disk herniation. The doc said I should be pain free after 6 weeks. However, that amount of time has passed and my employer wants me back to work on light duty. I am in a lot of pain, however, and knee pain and hip pain are now present...different than prior to surgery. I also have groin discomfort. My pain is definitely worse after sitting, but cannot do any one thing for too long. Sometimes the pain is sharp! I have had 2 sessions with a PT, but am wondering if anyone else has had these issues following surgery? The surgeon said I should have another MRI if the pain gets worse. I am thinking I need another to see what is going on. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
