edema after back surgery

I had parts of 3 discs removed and a mesh fusion done on my L5 and two others next to them. The surgery was February 18th and my only pain is when I have been laying down, I can't get up. There is so much pain in my legs I can barely walk. I am also having swelling in my hands and feet. Is this normal?

  • That is not normal. I had the nurse visit me several times a wk after surgery. The first thing she would check is swelling in hands or feet. I think you better call dr asap. Good luck I hope its nothing to worry about kathy
