L5-S1 spondylolisthesis grade 1
Im 18 years old and 2 months ago i was diagnosed with L5-21 spondylolisthesis, grade 1. This has unfortunately forced be to be off work and i am now no longer entitled to sick pay and according to my doctor i am not able to go back into work as i would be risking the diagnosis progressing to grade 2.
My medication i am currently taking is morphine, tremadol, diazepan and gabapentin. The pain was that bad on one occasion i was forced to go to hospital where i was admitted and stayed in over weekend. Whilst i was at the hospital i had three different doctors see me who all said i need to see a spinal surgeon. The doctors at the hospital then wrote a referal to my GP, however my GP hasnt acted on this and has instead sent me to physiopherapy and pain management.
Due to the pain i am under, i am having a lot of trouble sleeping so my physiopherapist is giving me nothing but accupunctures everytime i go which is apparently going to fix the issue. So far it hasnt done anything and ive had three of them now.
As for the pain management, i have been given exercises to do and i am also going to have some quarterzone injections.
Im just wondering if anyone else has been through this, its just that i feel im not being treated well by my doctors and they arent doing anything to fix the issue, all they are doing is trying to help me deal with the pain which is doing nothing what so ever and everyday goes by where i am bed bound for most of the day and losing out on money and having a social life.
I would be very greatful if anyone has an information they can provide so i can get this fixed once and for all.
