Do Doctors Reside Here?

Hi. I signed up for this sight because I thought I read people helping others to understand their MRI lingo.

My name is Salmon and I am used to Doctors telling me there's no reason for my back pain and that I am fine. Unfortunately I can barely move or breathe some days because my back hurts terribly. My mom told me to see a spine/pain specialist. Phew! Her advise brought me to the first DR that believes me. This DR ordered an MRI.

I posted my results in the back pain forum, I assume I posted in the wrong spot. Is there anyone in this site that can help me understand the reports words? The Internet is either too scary or vague. I want to be prepared with proper questions and a full understanding when I go to my follow up appointment this Wednesday.

Smiles and Thanks,

are on the forum site. All approved medical professionals are first registered with the Spine-Health office and can be view while using "Find a Doctor" feature.

But, these are strictly member forums. There is no one here able to provide you with any medical advice. What you will see here is members sharing their own personal stories and situations. Many here have been dealing with chronic pain and spinal problems for a very long time and they have been almost non-medical 'experts'.

One of the forum rules states that no member is to provide another member with medical advice. That includes the reading and/or interpretation of any diagnostic test.

  • Thank you for your response. I'm not looking for medical advise. I was hoping someone could help me understand the lingo/words/definitions to my MRI. That's all. Then I could take the information, understand what my doctor says to me and ask the right questions.
