Trial question

Hi all,
My hubby is having the trial for the neurostimulator tomorrow. He is getting very nervous. Can anyone provide me with their experience during the surgery to place it? I have tried to look up information, but I can't seem to find anything about what you experience during the procedure. Any information or links to what it feels like would be really helpful at this point. Everything he has read from the procedure websites has not helped! Personal step by step what to expect will really really really help. Thanks very much in advance!

  • It's best to arrow back to even June on this site and look for trial topics. It's been covered my Kathy, Mel and me TerriP. Very extensively. Just too much to go over in little bit on time. Good luck post tomorrow after. USE ICE! It's uncomfortable for a few days
Keep going back for more programming with rep until have the best results

it takes a few hours it's uncomfortable just stay relaxed. I brought a little cooler with water and diet coke, After they still work on programming. The trial procedure is not bad, its all the programming and getting used to the stim feeling for next 6 days
  • Thanks! I was able to find those posts from the summer. Unfortunately, we are too far away to go back for reprogramming. It's only stimulating his leg and not his back. They take it out Wednesday, but we are disappointed he could not give it a good try. I wish they could reprogram over the phone!

That sounds like they just stuck it in and collected the insurance money. Thats FRAUD! Did they program after the procedure? I was there with 2 Medtronic reps till 6:45 PM. I have read here that the Reps will meet you at your primary Dr. office in an empty office or back room for programming. This should have been discussed why before. It's a waste of hope and money and really not ethical what they just did to him. Did you say Medtronics? I would make some noise.
