Hi my husband had a work accident, he has severe back pain. He has been in and out of work for past year, more out than in and with treatment with no positive results. Medications, therapy and so. He is worst, limping, not sleeping. The doctor told him since Jan 29 not to work. His MRI came with bulging disk on L4-L5 and L5-S1, DJD, retrolisthesis grade I on L4 and spondylolisthesis grade I on L5, a lipoma on L3. The EMG showed radiculopathy on L5 and it said something about borderline motor & sensory nor test for age. Hi will turn 51 in July can anyone tell me if he needs surgery.
