I have a second opinion about 1 week before my ACDF is scheduled. I can see the lack of any spinal fluid around my
cord just under c4 and not seen again till end of c6 and I have constant neck pain . My PM doc did numerous cervical
injections and rizotomies which helped for a while but then the numbness in my right hand which points to c6 area,
this made me ask PM what is next. He sent me to a neuro surgeon who looked at MRI and showed me what I already
saw and explained the ACDF procedure .
I see there is a disk replacement but not covered by insurance and I'm not the founder of google or FB so I need Ins
to cover it.
I did try PT etc, no relief.
I thought they could just enlarge the spinal canal but I guess that technology is not available , yet ?
I am 49 and enjoy a pretty active lifestyle , I love roller coasters, motorcycles , well you get the point.
I hope I don't regret getting an ACDF . I would love to hear success stories.
