3- level discectomy and fusion is this the same procedure as an ACDF?

I have been trying to find the answer to the above question but I am still unsure. Is a 3-level discectomy and fusion the same kind of procedure as an ACDF or is an entirely different operation.

Thank you

  • ACDF is a fusion in the neck and can be done on one or more levels. The "A" means from the front side of your neck. I have no experience with neck fusions but there are lots of people on her that do. Look around. Best of luck to you.
