How have people reacted to your injury?

Some people are so great and supportive, others are so horrible!

I don't generally go into details with many people, but I've told a few people exactly whats going on with me. Some are helpful and empathize, and every so often ask how I'm doing. Others couldn't care less and give me grief if I can't do something (wtf). Another group is the people who ask how I'm doing everyday, which is nice, but when I tell you that I'm not going to feel any relief for months, its pretty annoying to be asked how you are when you aren't well.

What are your experiences with peoples reactions to your illness? How do you handle the different types of responses?
