I am facing L4, L5 and S1 surgery in July and have been trying to develop good habits with my lifting, bending and stuff to try to learn them before having to do so after surgery. One thing I was worried about (I live on my own) was doing my laundry. I had seen an episode of Shark Tank where an inventor presented the Lifter Hamper. Thought it was a brilliant idea for us back sufferers. It is a fabric laundry hamper on a metal rolling frame. It contracts when no clothes are in and and goes down as clothes are added. You can roll it where you want it, and as you take clothes from it, it springs back up. No bending. Love it. (Do want to add I get nothing or have no incentive to recommend this.) I received mine last week and love it. It will be such a help.
