Awaiting multilevel fusion surgery in June and getting worse by the minute

I am scheduled for a fusion of L2-4 on June 12. I have had low back pain for months and my discs are gone to the point of bone on bone. It's so bad the bones are wearing away as you can see in my MRI picture. Today, for the first time, my right leg went completely numb after hurting all day. It felt like my leg wasn't even attached and was very disconcerting. I've been icing for hours and did some stretches and put Biofreeze on my back. I also took 800 mg of ibuprofen and I'm taking Percocet for the pain, but its still numb and feels weak. I know a lot of you have had experience with this and I'm hoping you can give me some advice for helping the numbness/weakness go away. I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks and can't imagine feeling this way while I'm gone. Its a beach vacation and I will be spending several hours on a plane. Any advice?
