I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out there!
I am a 21yr old fit & thin female. And for the past 6 months I have been experiencing extreme pain in my mid-back, mostly on the left hand side. When I was about 12 I had a whiplash injury on my neck while jumping trampoline (I was a gymnast for many years). Ever since this accident I have been experiencing mild on and off neck & back pain which has always been relieved by going to a chiropractor. More recently though, many chiropractor, physio, acupuncture and massage therapist visits haven't helped at all and the pain is constant! I have also tried to just rest it and do nothing. It also sometimes becomes a sharp pain in my chest (on my left breastbone) - which then hurts when I breath. Sometimes this pain is also accompanied by abdominal pain and nausea but am not 100% sure if this is related? I am quite worried, not only because it has been going on for so long, but because nothing is helping and I'm in pain!
I am quite fit as I am a Pilates instructor, so I make sure that I exercise, eat healthy and stretch daily. Please let me know if you have any suggestions - I am tired of spending money on doctors that are not helping me
