I currently am being treated for Osteomylitis and Discitus. These can be caused by so many things. Prior surgery, a infection in another part of the body that has tranferred to the spine or even steroid induced.A Dr can only take a educated guess as where the infection came from. Trust me a spine infection is not fun, I did 7 weeks IV therapy 24 hrs a day along with 7 months of oral antibiotics. i was just told I will require 1 more year of oral antibiotics.I currently need surgery but since I do not have a abcess the surgeon feels it will be too risky to do the surgery, I currently am seeking a second opinion as far as the surgery goes. My current surgeon says the only way he will operate is if there is abcess.
  • It happened with your age and what kind of lifestyle you, you don't need to take tension just be calm and relax with it. These kinds of infection can easily cured and control with some care.
