I'm new to this board, but have really been reading alot and trying to take it all in....the good and bad. I've had chronic back pain since 2006, but have managed to get myself through 2 pregnancies and raising my 2nd son till he turned 3 last month when I decided it was finally MY time. After going through probably 20 injections over the last 7 yrs and getting nowhere I met with my surgeon on May 22nd and was diagnosed with degenerative spondylolisthesis L4-5, spinalstenosis L4-5 and khyphosis. I could not believe what my spine looked like! But to finally see what has been causing me such pain actually made be feel better...likes there's a REAL reason why I feel so bad. And that I'm not making it up. I'll be having the ALIF/PLIF decompression fusion. I'm looking forward to "meeting" some of you and hopefully learning from your experiences and mistakes if you'll share them. Unfortunately, that means you've already felt or are still feeling my pain....sorry, I can relate.
