A little over a year ago I had a artificial disc replacement on c5 to fix a herniated disc. I am now only 24yrs old. Before the surgery my pain was unbearable. I couldnt lay down comfortably. Now a year later I can say it doesn't feel nearly that bad. YAY!! But I still get a dull ache and uncomfort at the base of my neck where my shoulders join. Massaging it feels wonderful! But I need a deep tissue and the bf is now getting thumb aches lol!! I also hear crackling... kind of like rice crispies. And when I take a deep breath in I can easily crack between my shoulder blades(10-15x a day). I'm also having a hard time(again) getting comfortable to fall asleep. My Orthopedic spinal surgeon told me to get a firm down pillow. I donno if its helping. Still having this shoulder pain. Also my neck doesn't have a curve (check out recent xray is my profile pic). AGAIN,Its not nearly as bad as it was before surgery. But it definitely could be better. Plz any advice is welcome.
