2 years after I found out I had discitus I have not had the all clear even after fusion
will it come back to haunt me again

    then you shouldn't have any further problems with it. Did you return to the doctor to make sure that it was totally cleared up?
    Have you had any further studies done to make sure?

    I was told by my infectious diesease doc there is a 25% chance that it can come back for the rest of my life. I am on antibiotics for a year after 7 months of treatment with IV and oral medications, I was told it was contained at l5-s1.
