Im new to this forum. I have recently been diagnosed with a c5/6 bulge and a c6/7 prolapsed disc. My back has been hurting me for about 6 months but 8 weeks I hit the wall. My left arm went completely dead to the point I couldn't feel it or move it. Since then I have took a raft of painkillers etc and been off work. My left arm has pains going down it now and is very weak, with constant aching i am also getting aching legs and weakness in the left leg.
My surgeon offered me the choice between injection or surgery. Now my dilemma is.
I have been off work for 8 weeks pottering around the house and I have got my pain meds down to codeine, Ibuprofen and paracetamol as needed.
I am a keen runner and road cyclist all of which has stopped since that awful day in May.
Do I /have operation or not? will it get worse when I go back to everyday life. I walk down to the shops and I start getting pains in arm and neck. I can feel every footstep. I also get out of breath walking up the stairs.
Sorry for rambling on I'm just seriously confused and worried, I just want my life back.
Thanks in advance for any help.
