although it is not for medical term acronyms

Others that come to mind are:

    ESI Epidural Spinal Injections
    SS Spinal Stenosis
    PLIF Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion
    ALIF Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion
ACDF Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion
    ADR Artificial Disc Replacement

I suggest that when you see acronyms that you don't know, you ask. That way you will slowly learn them :-)

It took ages for me to understand what the acronyms meant and felt too stupid to ask.

I have a couple of degrees as well so thank you Rose for highlighting the point. Had no idea what DDD meant until I searched through Wiki and on this site somewhere.

I know people have different problems and are used to the acronyms but I found it hard as I wasn't used to the medical jargon as well.

    Have a less pain day.
  • Yeah, i am known to say what others only DARE to think.
    I had to ask
Reading the posts are of great value and info. But i had no idea what the procedure acronyms stood for
