I do apologize for not being hat active recently. There were a number of various situations that made it more difficult for me to login and do what I normally do.
About 3 weeks ago, the owner of the Wine Shop I work in and I got into an argument. Al about scheduling. I let my scheduling requests be known well in advance, but when the weekend I needed off, I found out I was scheduled, I sorta of blew a cork. Words exchanged , summarizing, Family is Number 1 to me. I think in retirement, I can do this a bit more. So, when I was threatened to come in or forget about my family reunion, you guess it, family won.
As a result, he terminated me... Fine. Two and a half weeks later he apologized and wants me back. I cant do the physical work, but I know my wine, spirits and beers and I can SELL. So this week I will be starting back again.
BUT it as been a great two weeks. My wife and I have been able to use our boat over a dozen times, beaching it, sitting in a chair in the sand, floating on a raft, etc. All good. Plus my wife has taken up golf. We have a 9 hole golf course in our community, so she has been going out almost daily. Since I cant play, I can drive the golf cart and watch.
This is sort of a preview of what things will be next year, when my wife retires at the end of 2013. Time to enjoy our lives and ourselves!
Ok, now Spine-Health. I just couldn't feel the right mood to log in and browse all the threads. I will be doing this again in the next couple of days. For those that noticed I havent been here, thanks, for those who dont even know me, you are lucky!
I am in the midst of a long flare up (3 months) Going back and forth between Back and Hip. A couple of ESI's have given me some relief, but did cause cataracts to build up in my other eye! I have a L2/L3 problem, fairly new that will need to be taken care of sometime down the road. Right now, my gut is saying my right hip is ready to be replaced. I go for another MRI tomorrow. My hip specialists agrees on the replacement, just that the X-Rays done show enough of the arthritis wear and tear, but the clinical examinations and strength tests cleary point out the problem. So, perhaps, tomorrows MRI might show him more.
For now, I am looking at Cataracts surgery in my left eye and then having my Right hip totally replaced. This will happen before year end and then I do hope to get back on the right road. I would love nothing better than to start reducing the amount of narcotics I take daily.
I've been away for two weeks and to me it has seemed like months
