Sudden onset of backpain 5 years after op

Can anyone advise us please?

My daughter is 19 years old, she had corrective surgery when she was 14 which was successful. She still is not straight and is still curved but she manages it well and has regular exercise to help with the stiffness.

However, in the last week or so she has had constant pain and no amount of pain relief or me massaging her back seems to work.

I am new to this site and I am worried for her. Can anyone help?

  • Hi, I am not familiar with corrective surgery. Did you talk to her pediatric surgeon who performed the surgery? If not, I would get her an appointment with a neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon. Be prepared with her history. Could it be a pulled muscle that she is compensating for? If this is a week or more...I would call.
