the silent enemy

hello my name is lloyd i was just browizing the internet look ing for a back pain group and here i am i am a newbey to the computer so should any body does send me a message or an e mail i would all answer back i have 6 lumberfractures lower right right side a very long story cut short i worked in the textile trade back in 1995 one of my boses brought some 50000mts of a fabric called viscoes or rayon this batch had a very nasty poision called formaldehyde part of my job was cutting the fabric down from 100mts rolls to 30 mts rolls i was breathing all this down in to my lungs on the advice of a friend i calledhackney enviromentle health a lady came down to the shop within 2mins shut the shop down health hazzard from then to now my health has got worse my asthma got worse chest infections to pnumonia to emphsema basically down hill fast i was put on steriods over 3 ears my weight went from 11 stoneto nearley 28 stone 30 inch weist to a 40inch then i got 6 fractures which the steriodsstarted doing crazy things i am up everl single day between 3 30 4 45 amin raging pain im on lots of meds but its a loneley old road i was up im felling really tired i take care

    I'm sorry that you have to join us here, but glad that you found us! I had a few textile mills around me growing up, so I have some idea about the size of those rolls of fabric, you are talking about.....
    I'm sorry that your boss didn't do more to protect his employees, but hindsight is always 20/20 vision as they say. I don't know that they knew as much about the damage that formaldehyde can do to the body as we do today.
