only the surgeon you see can answer the questions you have right now. He will base his opinion on what he sees in the MRI images, his exam of you and your symptoms.
I know that it is hard to wait, but you don't really want a bunch of us on the internet scaring you before you see the doctor and get his opinion. He will have the information in front of him and his exam of you to give you the best , most accurate information.
  • Hi
I agree With Sandi you do not want some one on the internet treating you.
I would suggest if the nuro doesn't answer your question get a second opinion. If the nuro suggest surgery get a second opinion. Read and learn what you can from the information you have to help YOU make a choice.
  • thank you both,im schduled to see a spine specialist tomorrow so i guess i will see what he says ..really hoping he can at least give me a stronger perscription for this pain its awful..when i sit for ANY length of time my neck ,arm and chest HURT so bad!!! i have to get up and stand just to type this..ive tried mortin, perscription anti-inflammitories and they dont TOUGH this..the only thing that somewhat helps is a heating pad,but i cant lay on a heating pad forever!! just reading on hernated disc's in the cervical area can cause this worries me,because im not even 40 yet..:( hope i get some answers tomorrow
